Rainbow flag colorpicked from the original 1978 flag <3
this is my favorite of all the rainbow flags because a) the stripes mean things: sex, life, healing, sunlight, nature, magic, harmony, and spirit. Sex (hot pink) and magic (turquoise) were more difficult colors to get which is why the standard flag is six colors, but those are my favorite colors! Both as colors and as meanings!
and b) we know for a stone cold fact that Gilbert Baker meant this flag to be for Everybody In The Family, which has gotten a little lost in the emphasis on individual flags for different identities, to the point where some people are starting to think the six-color rainbow is only for gay men

just a reminder to my new followers that if were ever able to cross the explanatory gap and share our color perception qualia with each other, proving finally that we all do see colors differently, my red is real as shit and youve been seeing crap fake red. so come to terms with your shit fake red while it lasts
ohhhh it just now occurred to me that knives probably meant for wolfwood’s “betrayal” of vash to be like, the last straw for vash’s love for humanity. wear him down with the cruelty of the gung ho guns and then give the finishing blow- “surprise! the guy who protected you and made you think he cared about you was only doing it on my orders, humans are all heartless animals and they can never really love you (like I do),” etc etc etc
but like joke’s on you buddy! first off, wolfwood is just not subtle at all, vash knew he was sus from the start & still embraced him thorns and all 🤷 secondly it turns out humans *can* love selflessly, & your guy’s love for your brother eclipsed his fear of you within like 5 minutes of meeting him. whoops!!!!
And it’s also funny because he’s like “Humans are selfish and cruel and they hunt us like animals” but he has to MAKE the humans do this in order to prove his point,, like send the gung ho guns after Vash, put up his first bounty, send Wolfwood to betray him, like man?? That’s not how it works, it’s as stupid as claiming that alcohol is actually good for your health and then paying a bunch of scientists yourself so they can falsely prove your point,,, you’re not proving a point you’re just bending reality to your own perception of it
You are trying your hardest. You are doing your best. Some days are not so easy and some people don’t recognize your efforts. Still, those efforts are real and they should matter the most to you. You should be proud for getting up everyday and trying your best even though the circumstances are harsh. No one can take that strength away from you.
somehow instead of saying “as a treat”, I’ve started using the phrase “for morale”, as if my body is a ship and its crew, and I (the captain) have to keep us in high spirits, lest we suffer a mutiny in the coming days.
and so I will eat this small block of fancy cheese, for morale. I will take a break and drink some tea, for morale. I will pick up that weird bug, for morale.
